Wow, it’s hard to believe that November is already here! It seemed like yesterday I was rushing to get Octobers calendar of events and newsletter together.
I want to thank David, Anita, Debbie, and Crystal Hill, to mention a few, for helping keep you all busy while I was away in meetings and on vacation. It’s a blessing to know that we have staff here that we can turn to in a time of need. When I asked for their help they didn’t hesitate to lend a hand.
Next, I want to say thank you to the positive response that I got back on the activities program surveys. Thanks again for all the nice compliments that each of you have given me. It just warms my heart to know that you are happy and content here at the Paragon. As always, if any of us in any department can make your stay any more comfortable, please let someone know. We are all here to make this as much like your home as we possibly can.
One of the programs I would really like to “pep up” is our walking club. I’m going to be purchasing some “Paragon Walking Club” t-shirts for each of you to earn during the upcoming months. I hope this will encourage you to get out and socialize and by all means, exercise more. I realize that some of you can walk more than others, but that doesn’t mean that you have to stay in your suites. We usually have something for everyone, or at least we try to. My goal as your Event Coordinator is for everyone here to be interested in at least one activity. I’m really happy if it’s more than one but my goal is at least one for everyone. I hope together we can make it happen. If you are one of those residents that can’t seem to find an activity for you, please come and talk to me and I feel confident that we can find something interesting for you!
Let’s take the time this year to remember our family and friends. What better time to do that than at Thanksgiving. Just being with family and friends creates laughter and happiness. Take the time to spend it with someone you love or genuinely care about and let them know how thankful you are to have them in your life. I know that we are thankful to have you in ours!
Until next month,
Sherry
